Who Are We?
SharedBook's Custom Publishing Platform allows customized and personalized books to be created dynamically and then displayed as flipbooks on the Web, downloaded as PDFs, or professionally printed. SharedBook specializes in integrating and publishing data from various sources through its own proprietary tools, which dramatically change the economics of book publishing. SharedBook's platform supports the traditional publisher's interest in personalization, and allows Web content providers to become publishers.
SharedBook is providing its patented annotation technology platform to this Google Book Settlement discussion. Our annotation platform allows interested parties to contextually add initial and responsive comments to the documents through online footnoting. Importantly, the original content is not changed in any way during this process. The platform also has a compilation and print capability, allowing books to be created from the content with any combination of the annotations, which appear in the book as footnotes.
